Looking Back: The 2017 Super League Final That Defined a Generation

In July 2017, on a day that Minna would remember, Niger Flickers delivered one of the most iconic performances in Nigerian club hockey history. A solitary goal against Police Machine Hockey Club was all that stood between a good team and a great legacy.

Following the victory, Governor Abubakar Sani Bello received the team in Minna, donated a team bus, approved construction of a modern AstroTurf pitch, and announced plans for a new multipurpose sports complex — a milestone moment for sports development in Niger State.
